Paraskevi-Viviane Galata, Ph.D. & Postdoc in Social Sciences, Adjunct Lecturer at the Hellenic Open University. She studied Law, Sociology and Social Research at the National University of Athens, Panteion University, Newcastle University and Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is a member of the BSA, ASA, ISA and RC28 Social Stratification and Mobility. Working in the fields of sociology of work, social stratification, and occupational mobility, she explores the social effects of crisis, skills, migration, relative deprivation, and inequality. Publications appear in journals including Social Policy, O kosmos tis Ergasias (The world of Labor), and the Greek review of social research.
